This benefit concert celebrates SYDEFX’s #1 fan, friend and advisor, Emily Robinson. We lost Em October 14, 2007 to kidney disease at the age of 26. Emily developed kidney disease at 7 after having strep throat. She received two kidney transplants in her life, one from her Mom and one from her Dad. The first benefit concert was held on April 25, 2008 – Emily’s 27th birthday. All proceeds go to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia’s Camp Independence program in loving memory of Emily Robinson. Camp Independence is Emily’s childhood camp. To read more about Em and to direct your fans somewhere, www.emilyssongbenefitshow.info

Emily’s Song was written on October 15, 2007 when SYDEFX found out about Emily’s passing. It’s a beautiful love song about a friend. Its on the myspace page ( www.myspace.com/sydefxmusic ) and available on iTunes. A portion of the proceeds goes to Camp Independence. We finally made the video and will premiere it at the benefit show before SYDEFX takes the stage.

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES!

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Dear readers,

Thank you for checking in. We wanted to give you a heads up about our status and life at this time. We’ve posted up quite a few blogs recently with lots of information and videos so be sure to check those out. We plan to come at you with more videos instead of all this text in the near near future, but for now, please read :)

- We have a new album out, O Zone Lair Restoration…check that out asap and let us know what you think. We have it available for free download, or if you would like to donate to our cause, that option is available as well.

- We did a little tour of the Midwest in late September. It was awesome. We hit up Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, and Grand Rapids, MI. Video of our travels and videos of bands we played with and our live performances can be found on this site or our myspace blog…. or at http://www.youtube.com/oteampress – LOTS of good videos up there so peep that. And just because I like you, here is a clip of the song 001 when we were in Chicago, these people were GREAT.

- We have no more shows until the new year. Thats right ladies and germs, after a very successful year of shows, we are taking a short break to prepare for 2009. For New Years Eve, we are playing a house show in East Atlanta Village right behind The Earl, its going to be VIP only, its going to be pretty huge though…kegs, projector screen, pool, ping pong, beer pong, slip and slide, DJ’s, MC’s, Bands, Jazz, Horns, Metal, you name it…you need to get in on this action and its FREE

- We are working on a music video. It’s true, we are working on shooting a music video for one of our songs. Its going to be pretty sick…we can’t tell you very much about it, but it will feature to of Atlanta’s hottest female martial artists :)

- We believe the key to success in any venture is tried and true hard work. Create a solid product or resource, show the people that it is worth their time to experience it, and over time your level of success will grow. That is what we aim for and after just over a year and a half of hard work here in Atlanta and recently around the country, we feel our success growing and are very very excited about what is to come.

Fall Tour Video Day 3

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

We go from Chicago to Grand Rapids MI to play a 2 man band festival called Fes2val, put on by Charles the Osprey. The festival was great, the people were great, and the music was exceptional. Especially considering no band had more than 2 people. Playing on a bridge over a huge river with water flowing constantly and rapidly was one of the coolest experiences of my life. The weather was perfect the entire trip, and the most amazing on this day.

For higher quality video, click the links and view the videos at youtube.com. Under the video will be a link for ‘view high quality’.

Fall Tour Video Day 2

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Alright, almost 20 more minutes of video just from day 2! We left from Columbus and headed to Chicago for our next show. We hung out in the city for a few hours and then made our way to the burbs for this house show that was OFF THE CHAIN. Thank you so much UniCom for letting us perform with your groups and taking such great care of us!

This video has some performance from the house show at the end

Part 1

Part 2

Working on day 3 video tonight and hopefully have it ready for you fine people tomorrow :)

Fall Tour Video Day 1

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

So we wanted to have these videos ready to post during the days and the morning after our shows, but due to certain technological disadvantages occasionally, we have been unable to keep up with that. So, here is the video of our first day of travels a day late and a dollar short.

Driving up to Ohio was nice, the weather was amazing, the van treated us good, and we arrived safe and sound. The Carabar people were unnaturally nice and welcoming, we could not have asked for a better place to play.

Enjoy!

13DM to play with Zechs Marquise!

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Ladies and Gents, we have some very exciting news to coincide with the launch of our website.

Talking with Zechs Marquise, they needed a place to play in Atlanta on June 29th, which is a Sunday and also Corndog-o-rama…one of Atlanta biggest independent music festivals…which we were unable to be a part of.

At first we were a bit sad since a lot of the bands we perform with will be there and so will many many many music fans. Fortunately, the planets and stars aligned correctly and we now have the opportunity to host and perform a show with Zechs Marquise.

If you are unfamiliar with Zechs Marquise, here are some websites where you can learn more :)
